Dan was standing at the alter, the bridesmaids were walking down the aisle, and Heidi and her dad pulled up in a mint green classic convertible. The rain held out long enough for the “I do’s” and everyone made it inside just as that first drop hit the grass.
Guests dined buffet style on prime rib, pan-fried pickerel, herb roasted baby potatoes, delicious salads, roasted veggies and more!
The sister of the groom (who doubled as the emcee) created an amazing slide show which had the guests almost falling out of their chairs with laughter.
Lucky Girl Photography set up their ‘Lucky Booth’ where guests got their photos taken throughout the night, and Chocolate Pie sang the night away.
What better way to remember your wedding day, than the only day in June where there was no rain!!! Zuzana walked down the lawn at The Gates on Roblin with sun the shining on her face. The fabric covering the arch was floating in the wind, and Halim looked like the happiest man in the world.
The reception was in the Ballroom, where guests wined and dined to the sounds of The Danny Kramer Event Band. Toasts were made, the cake was cut, and guests were fleeing to Curtis Moore’s infamous Rock-booth. It was the perfect day.
We have just received these AMAZING engagement photos from yet another one of our beautiful couples for 2010. Once again, Jeremy from Jeremy Hiebert Photography didn’t disappoint.

This just in…Steph and Ryan’s engagement photos hot off the press! Yet another one of our amazing couples for 2010. Trevor from Trevor Brucki Photography did an amazing job on this shoot and Soirée is so excited to be working with him again on Steph and Ryan’s wedding this summer.
Soirée was hired by Travel Manitoba to consult on decor for the entrance, the ballroom, and the tables. The theme was Hollywood Glamour. Red, black and gold were key colours on our inspiration board. Centrepieces consisting of red gerbera daisies, white dendrobium orchids and curly willow branches adorned with crystal sat in the centres of each table. Black satin linens were draped over each table and a gold charger plate was the perfect accent at each place setting.
Laurenda Madill, the manager of Industry Development at Travel Manitoba, said: “Soirée understood the look and feel we were trying to create for the event and pulled together fabulous centre pieces, glamorous table linens and extra special touches to our entrance way into the gala. Her attention to detail and contemporary style garnered many compliments during and after the event.”
Hi Everyone, check out our article from this month’s issue of Weddings In Winnipeg. If you are in the midst of making those decisions and trying to choose the right vendors be sure to read this article, it’s full of lots of helpful hints.
”My love affair with photography began with my travels through Hawaii, California and the Philippines. It was during this time that my appreciation for a photographer’s ability to capture unique moments and emotive details grew. After returning to Winnipeg, I assisted several leading photographers in the city and graduated from the Enhanced Photography Program at Red River College. I’ve been a registered professional photographer with the Professional Photographers of Canada (PPOC) for several years.
I feel blessed to have the career that I do. It is more than a job to me; I believe that it’s a unique opportunity to build friendships with the people I work with. Throughout the time leading up to a wedding, I value my meetings with a couple as it strengthens the trust between us and nurtures the rapport that is so vital between a photographer and his clients. You may think that I get tired of weddings but I truly believe in marriage and what it means, and I love seeing individuals commit to each other in this way. It doesn’t get old! It is the same with portrait sessions – I know that the families I work with will cherish the images portraying these moments in time. I feel privileged that my clients choose to entrust me with their precious and tender memories, and I sincerely appreciate the responsibility of capturing these moments.
I specialize in wedding and portrait photography, and I strive to provide you with a professional product in a contemporary and photojournalistic style. Additionally, my goal is to ensure that you enjoy a memorable experience working with me. I believe that a photo shoot should be relaxed and rewarding, and I’m satisfied when I hear comments like, “I never knew posing for photos could be so much fun”.
On a personal level, I’ve been married to my beautiful wife, Meagan, since 2005. We continue to enjoy traveling together and getting involved in lots of outdoor activities, whether in the summer or winter. We also value the time we spend working with youth, and love serving at camps and church. Our little boy, Aaron, was born on Christmas Day in 2008 and we’re thrilled to watch his young personality develop and to spend time with him as he explores his world. As my own family and love for them have grown, so has my appreciation for my clients’ love for each other and their families. I believe that this has made me a better photographer and I hope you see this depth reflected in my work.”
